Securing the opportunity to design the global fund office in Germany was both a privilege and a challenge that showcased our expertise in balancing aesthetic aspirations with functional requirements. Chosen after a rigorous competitive tender process, we were humbled by the client’s initial feedback: while they appreciated the initial proposal's beauty, they sought a design that was “less opulent” and more aligned with their ethos of simplicity and practicality.

Balancing Elegance with Simplicity
The revised design embraced understated elegance, focusing on minimalism without sacrificing warmth or professionalism. Clean lines, a neutral color palette, and thoughtful spatial planning came together to create a workspace that reflects the company’s collaborative and transparent culture. The simplicity of the design is not just a stylistic choice but a deliberate effort to echo the firm’s values of openness and approachability.

A Collaborative and Transparent Layout
Breaking away from traditional office hierarchies, the CEO and employees share the main workspace in an open-plan design. This arrangement fosters seamless communication and a flat organizational structure, promoting inclusivity and accessibility. Meeting rooms and private spaces are strategically placed to provide options for focused tasks while maintaining the overall openness.

Biophilic Design: The Green Wall as a Centerpiece
A lush green wall serves as a subtle yet impactful focal point in the office, introducing elements of biophilic design. This feature not only enhances the aesthetic appeal but also brings a sense of calm and natural balance to the workspace. The inclusion of greenery aligns with wellness trends in office design, boosting both productivity and employee satisfaction.
