Through carefully curated wood samples and thoughtful material studies, the owners discovered an unexpected affinity for deeper, richer wood tones. This revelation shifted the entire design narrative from cool modernism to sophisticated warmth.

The resulting design is a masterclass in tonal variation. Different wood species and finishes create a subtle dance of texture throughout the space. Custom wall panels, varying in shade and grain, add depth and visual interest while maintaining a cohesive aesthetic. The interplay of these elements creates what Wong calls "a conversation between light and shadow, texture and tone."

In the living area, horizontal wood panels in a deep walnut finish extend the full height of the walls, creating an embracing sense of warmth that defies the typical cool modernism of contemporary interiors. This architectural feature is complemented by custom millwork that serves both aesthetic and functional purposes—a testament to DreamR's commitment to beautiful utility.
